saturdays at work.

it's weird working saturdays. i have recently had to work them more often due to the company i work for now offering studio space for rental. at first you think it wouldn't be so bad. but you know i don't have much of a weekend anymore. don't get me wrong, i enjoy the extra amount in my paycheck from time to time. but there is something to be said about having a nice relaxing saturday without any responsibilities to someone else's success, but your own.

next saturday i'm off during the day. and i am also hoping to take this coming friday off, since it is the day that i will be turning the big 28. excitingly melissa dawn will be visiting for the weekend. so it will be an amazing weekend of birthdays and friends.

addy submissions.

i entered my first series of photographs today in our local addy awards competition. my agency has won before. last year we won a gold and a silver. both for publications, not photography. so i'm glad to have won a couple on my design abilities, but am really excited to see what the judges think of my photography. the three photographs you see here were taken for a small gift boutique called october moon, located here in old town. the agency, redhead design studio designed and developed the final brochure/mailer. they also entered that piece into the contest. we shall see how it all pans out soon. judging is this saturday, at perspective2 actually.

iphone 1.1.3 update.

it looked cool. i made new webclips on my home screen. made things jiggle and moved widgets. but i realized this morning. it said "no service". in attempt to regain service, i turned the phone on and off. and this is now what i see.

i am apple faithful to the end. i'm sure all i need to do is go home and plug it into my computer and let it update again. just a pain cause i'm at work and am without my cellphone communication. oh well. sorry to anyone who calls and or texts during this time.

more pears.

today as i was searching through some back stock to find some images to enter in our local addy awards and came across a test shot i had done while setting up for the october moon shoot this fall. i decided it was a nice enough shot to edit and get up here and makes a great addition to the pears already featured on my main site. anyway. enjoy.

today is blog day.

i took some advice from my wonderful friend joel panozzo and created my blog on my site. so hopefully i'll actually start updating this thing like i used to back in xanga days.
